The Municipality of Maco is located in the province of Davao de Oro, in the southern part of the Philippines. It is a landlocked municipality that is bordered by the municipalities of Mabini to the north, Pantukan to the east, Maragusan to the south, and Nabunturan to the west. The economy of Maco is mainly agricultural, with banana and coconut as the major crops. The town is also known for its scenic waterfalls, such as the Mainit Hot Spring and the Marangig Falls.
