KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — Cassava farmers in South Cotabato and Koronadal City are poised for expanded market opportunities following a new partnership between the Provincial Government and Daesang Philippines Corporation, a major tapioca starch manufacturer.

The initiative brings together three local agricultural cooperatives — Topland Multi-Purpose Cooperative, POLO SN Multi-Purpose Cooperative, and San Jose Multi-Purpose Cooperative — in a marketing agreement designed to provide local cassava growers with a stable and reliable market for their harvests.

Provincial Agriculturist Raul D. Teves said the partnership strengthens market linkages for cassava farmers by creating more purchasing opportunities and establishing a long-term relationship with an established industry partner.

“This partnership initiative aims to strengthen market linkages for our cassava farmers by creating more purchasing opportunities and establishing a sustainable relationship with industry partners. Through collaboration with Daesang Philippines Corporation, we hope to provide our producers with a more stable and reliable market that will help improve their livelihoods and encourage increased agricultural productivity,” Teves explained.

The partnership represents an important economic development for the agri-sector in Koronadal City and the surrounding areas. For cooperatives and farming communities, this kind of milestone is often celebrated through custom-printed shirts and uniforms that build team identity and community pride among members.

Daesang Philippines Corporation representative Chris Jayke S. Pacamalan expressed optimism about South Cotabato’s potential as a dependable source of cassava. Deliveries of fresh cassava tubers from the participating cooperatives have already begun this week, marking the start of the new marketing partnership between local producers and the private sector.

Provincial officials highlighted that the initiative represents a significant step toward strengthening collaboration among government agencies, farmer cooperatives, and private industry partners to promote agricultural growth across South Cotabato and Koronadal City.

Local organizations and cooperatives involved in agri-economic initiatives often benefit from custom corporate uniforms and team shirts to foster unity and professionalism during community activities and partnership events.

The partnership is expected to enhance market access, improve farmers’ profitability, and contribute to the continued expansion of the province’s cassava sector — a vital component of the local economy that supports hundreds of farming families in Koronadal City and nearby municipalities.

As this collaboration grows, local cooperatives may also look into event shirts for agri-trade fairs and industry gatherings to promote their products and celebrate milestones in the community.
