The mass oath-taking ceremony was held at the Agusan Valley Convention Center, witnessed by Special Assistant to the President Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr. The event marked one of the largest promotion exercises in Caraga, covering seven DepEd divisions.
According to the Philippine Information Agency, the breakdown included 600 from Agusan del Sur, 104 from Bayugan City, 75 from Bislig City, 126 from Dinagat Islands, 108 from Siargao, 488 from Surigao del Sur, and 58 from Tandag City.
Fe Bandola Penales, a math teacher at Tabon National High School under DepEd Bislig City Division, was promoted to Teacher VI after 39 years of public service and 17 years in Teacher III.
The Expanded Career Progression program creates opportunities for teachers to advance without leaving the classroom. For Bislig City, the promotion of 75 educators boosts morale across public schools.
