Monaco Launches Hands-On AI Workshops for Businesses Through New Digital LabImpact Programme

In a significant push to position itself as a leading digital hub in Europe, the Principality of Monaco has announced the launch of Digital LabImpact — a new series of practical, hands-on workshops designed specifically for businesses looking to integrate generative AI and other cutting-edge digital tools into their daily operations.

The programme is run by the Délégation Interministérielle chargée de la Transition Numérique (DITN) under the Extended Monaco Entreprises initiative, and builds on the success of the government’s existing Digital FlashUP awareness sessions, which have already introduced hundreds of local professionals to the fundamentals of digital transformation.

From Awareness to Action

Where the Digital FlashUP sessions offer accessible 45-minute overviews of major digital topics, the new LabImpact format takes a deeper approach. Small-group workshops give participants the space to explore what generative AI actually means for their own professional activities — not just in theory, but through live, interactive exercises led by local experts.

Each session combines three key elements:

  • Interactive exchanges with AI and digital specialists based in the Monaco region
  • Hands-on exploration of generative AI tools that attendees can immediately apply to real business challenges
  • Collective reflection sessions where participants discuss digital best practices and share insights across industries

A Strategic Move for Monaco’s Business Ecosystem

Monaco, long known for its luxury real estate, high-end tourism, and status as a tax-friendly haven, has been steadily diversifying its economic identity in recent years. The Digital LabImpact programme is the latest chapter in that story — reflecting the Princely Government’s commitment to ensuring that local businesses, from boutique retailers to established service firms, are not left behind in the global AI revolution.

The workshops are open to managers, employees, and entrepreneurs operating within the Principality, with a particular focus on helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that may lack the resources to experiment with AI on their own. By lowering the barrier to entry, Monaco is effectively democratising access to the same tools that larger corporations have been leveraging for years.

The Broader Digital Transformation Agenda

This initiative sits within Monaco’s wider Extended Monaco digital strategy, which has already delivered nationwide ultra-fast broadband, a thriving startup ecosystem, and a series of smart-city projects. The government has consistently signalled that digital innovation is not a luxury — it is a necessity for remaining competitive in the modern European economy.

For businesses in the apparel, printing, and creative sectors — industries that are increasingly relying on AI for design prototyping, supply chain optimisation, and customer personalisation — the LabImpact workshops represent a timely opportunity to learn how these technologies can be applied practically.

What’s Next

The first wave of Digital LabImpact workshops is expected to roll out in the coming weeks, with sessions being scheduled on a rolling basis. Businesses interested in participating are encouraged to register through the official Extended Monaco Entreprises portal to secure a spot, as group sizes are intentionally kept small to maximise hands-on learning.

As AI continues to reshape industries worldwide, Monaco’s proactive approach sends a clear message: the Principality is not just keeping up with the times — it is actively building the infrastructure, the skills, and the community needed to thrive in the age of intelligent technology.
