Fabric Compatibility

What works with what. Different print methods prefer different substrates - here's the at-a-glance matrix.

Cotton-Poly

Poly-Cotton Blends

Holds ink well with a slightly firmer hand. Low-bleed ink for dark blends. Common in uniforms and corporate polos.

Performance

100% Polyester

Specialty polyester inks for silkscreen. Holds color sharply but lighter feel than cotton. Required for sublimation.

Drifit / Mesh

Performance Mesh

Sublimation-only. Used for basketball, running, and esports jerseys where sweat-wicking and full-color prints matter.

Tri-Blend

Tri-Blend (Cotton/Poly/Rayon)

Soft retail-style feel. DTF or silkscreen with a soft-hand additive. Common for premium retail merch.

Twill / Canvas

Canvas & Twill

Tote bags, aprons, and structured caps. Heavier ink deposit shows well. Some detail loss on very coarse weaves.

How Shirt Printing Pricing Works

Three factors drive the per-piece price: garment cost, print method, and total quantity. Bigger orders get cheaper per piece because setup costs get amortized across more units.

The table on the right shows typical price ranges for a 1-color silkscreen print on a standard cotton shirt. DTF and sublimation have their own pricing tiers - we share all of them in the quote.

Shirt Printing FAQs

Common questions about methods, fabric, durability, and pricing.

Which print method should I pick?

Pick silkscreen for 50+ pieces with 1–4 spot colors and bold designs. Pick DTF for photo-realistic prints, full-color gradients, or runs under 50 pieces. Pick sublimation for edge-to-edge all-over prints on 100% polyester. Pick embroidery for polo and cap logos. We'll recommend the better method in your quote if you're unsure.

Is there a minimum order for shirt printing?

No minimum on DTF or sublimation - we accept single pieces. Silkscreen has a 50-piece minimum because screen-burning has fixed setup costs. Embroidery has no minimum but is priced per logo stitch count.

How long does the print last?

Plastisol silkscreen on cotton routinely survives 50+ wash cycles without cracking or fading. DTF has a slightly softer hand-feel but comparable durability - around 40+ wash cycles. Sublimation is permanent because the dye is infused into the fabric, not printed on top. Embroidery outlasts every print method by decades.

Can you print on dark shirts?

Yes. Silkscreen on dark fabric requires an underbase (white base layer) which adds one screen and a small cost. DTF on dark shirts works directly and is the easiest method for small runs. Sublimation does not work on dark or cotton fabric - only on light or white polyester.

Do you provide the blank shirts, or can I bring my own?

Both work. We stock cotton blanks from Yalex, A2Z, Crown, Softex, Blackhorse, and ETC at wholesale. If you bring your own garments, we ask for a 5–10% overage in case of misprints or alignment issues.

What file format do you need for the artwork?

Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF) at actual print size are ideal. If you only have a JPG or PNG, we can recreate it as a vector for a small one-time artwork fee. We'll send a printable mock-up for your approval before production.

Where do you ship, and how fast?

Nationwide via LBC, J&T Express, Shopee, or Lazada. Local pickup is available in Tagum City, Davao City, and Cagayan de Oro. Production typically takes 5–10 working days after artwork approval; rush orders can be accommodated with a small surcharge - see our rush tiers.

Can I see a sample before paying for the full batch?

Yes. We send a digital mock-up for approval first, then a printed sample photo before running the full batch for orders above 100 pieces. For small runs, we can print one sample shirt on request for a small setup fee.

Where can I find your design guidelines?

We have a full design guidelines page covering file prep, color limits, fabric compatibility, and bleed margins: Design Guidelines for Shirt Printing.

Do you do same-day or rush printing?

Yes. Same-day is available for DTF on small orders placed before 10am. Otherwise we have 24-hour, 3-day, and 5-day rush tiers. See our rush shirt printing page for the full breakdown.
