Castelli has officially launched its new Hot Weather range for 2026, a fully updated collection of cycling apparel engineered to help riders perform at their best when temperatures soar. Designed around three core principles — maximizing airflow, accelerating evaporation, and providing advanced UPF protection — the range addresses the growing demand for kit that keeps cyclists cool and shielded during the hottest months of the year.

Based in Fonzaso, Italy, the specialist manufacturer has updated its line with technical fabrics aimed at helping riders handle summer conditions. The collection introduces several garments tailored for hot weather conditions, blending ventilation with sun safety.

Climber’s A/C Jersey: Lightweight Meets Aerodynamic

The standout piece of the collection is the Climber’s A/C Jersey, built specifically for warm-weather performance. It features a race fit with computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-optimized fabric placement and seam construction for enhanced aerodynamics. The front and side panels use Castelli’s Flusso 3D fabric — a super-light mesh structure that allows cooling airflow — while the Strada Pro 3D fabric on the back offers UPF 13 protection with high breathability.

The jersey includes elbow-length stretch mesh sleeves with raw-cut edges, an elastic waist to support loaded pockets, and a YKK Vislon zipper. It’s rated for temperatures between 22–40°C. Men’s colorways include Belgian Blue/Winter Sky, Vivid Orange/Smoky Gray, Silver Gray/Smoky Gray, and Deep Bordeaux/White. Women’s options come in Belgian Blue/Neon Cobalt Silver and Ultraviolet/Purple Mist-Pink. The jersey retails at £125 / US$155 / €120.

UPF Jersey: Maximum Sun Defense Without the Weight

For riders who prioritize sun protection, the new UPF Jersey delivers UPF 50+ protection — blocking over 98% of harmful UV rays — while remaining remarkably lightweight. Available in both short-sleeve and long-sleeve versions, the jersey uses a higher collar and extended sleeves for additional skin coverage. It includes three rear cargo pockets, a zippered security pocket, and raw-cut sleeve endings. The optimal temperature range is 20–38°C.

Men’s colors include Silver Gray and Vivid Orange, while women’s versions come in Winter Sky/Violet Pink and Mango Mojito/Ultraviolet. The short-sleeve is priced at £129 / US$170 / €120, and the long-sleeve at £140 / US$180 / €130.

Superleggera Bibshort: Castelli’s Lightest-Ever Road Short

The Superleggera Bibshort is billed as Castelli’s lightest road short ever made. It introduces a seamless, graduated-ventilation stretch-woven fabric that maximizes airflow while reducing weight by up to 50% compared to traditional materials — all without sacrificing durability. It features a minimalist stripe mesh bib and the proven Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad. Rated for 20–40°C, it’s available in Black and Belgian Blue for £225 / US$250 / €220.

A/C Bibshort: Engineered for Maximum Ventilation

The A/C Bibshort takes a mesh-first approach to hot-weather comfort. Closed-knit side panels balance breathability with UPF 50+ protection, while minimalist mesh bib straps and integrated mesh leg grippers actively prevent overheating. Both men’s and women’s versions use the Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad and operate in a 22–40°C range. Priced at £170 / US$190 / €160.

Accessories: Arm, Knee, and Leg Sleeves

Rounding out the range are UPF 50+ Light Arm, Knee, and Leg Sleeves made from lightweight stretch Solare fabric. They provide full UV protection while maintaining airflow and moisture management — available in white and black colorways.

Castelli Global Brand Manager Steve Smith noted that the collection reflects years of R&D: “Traditionally that level of UV defense meant compromising on weight, but by devoting countless hours to R&D, we’ve developed fabrics for this collection which tick all the boxes when it comes to being lightweight, breathable, and protective.”

The full Castelli Hot Weather 2026 collection is now available through Castelli’s official website and authorized retailers worldwide.
