Atlante FC is back in Liga MX for the Apertura 2026 season, and the “Equipo del Pueblo” is doing it with a fresh look. The historic Mexico City club has officially announced a partnership with Mexican sportswear brand Charly Fútbol, who will produce their kits for the club’s return to the top flight.

The announcement came on May 21, 2026, with both Atlante and Charly making the news official through a video and press release. The blue-and-granate side leaves behind Keuka, their kit supplier during their time in the Liga de Expansión, and enters a new era with one of Mexico’s fastest-growing domestic sportswear brands.

Why the Charly Deal Matters

For Atlante, the partnership with Charly represents more than just a new shirt. In an official statement, the club described the union as “the meeting of two brands that share values, tradition, passion, and a deep love for our country.”

For Charly Fútbol, adding a club with Atlante’s historical weight expands their presence in a highly competitive market where they go up against international giants like Nike, Adidas, and Puma. The Mexican brand already outfits several Liga MX clubs including León, Atlas, FC Juárez, and Xolos de Tijuana. Adding Atlante to that roster strengthens their position as a leading domestic choice for Mexican football clubs.

The return to Liga MX also means a complete commercial rebuild for the Potros de Hierro. Beyond the kit deal, the club thanked their Liga de Expansión sponsors — including Caliente.mx, Kosako, Corona, Almanta, Megacable, Keuka, and Electrolit — while signaling that new commercial partnerships are on the horizon for the top-flight return.

Atlante’s Liga MX Comeback

Atlante will make their Apertura 2026 debut on Thursday, July 16, according to the official Liga MX schedule. The club, which spent years in the Liga de Expansión after being relegated, secured its return through the acquisition of the Mazatlán FC franchise rights.

The team will be led by Miguel “El Piojo” Herrera as head coach, with legendary Atlante goalkeeper Federico Vilar returning as an assistant coach. The squad has already begun preseason training and has made significant roster changes, with 13 players departing in preparation for the new campaign.

What the New Atlante Jersey Might Look Like

While the official kit designs have not yet been unveiled, fans are already speculating on social media about what Charly will produce. Atlante’s traditional blue and garnet (granate) colors are expected to feature prominently. Given Charly’s recent work with clubs like León and Atlas — where they’ve combined classic elements with modern touches — expectations are high for a design that honors the club’s storied history while looking forward to its new era.

The jersey announcement is expected closer to the Apertura 2026 kickoff, and fans are hoping for designs that recover the classic essence of the Potros.
