Newcastle United have launched their 2026-27 home kit, designed by Adidas, introducing a bold new interpretation of the club’s famous black and white stripes. The shirt was unveiled at St James’ Park on June 10 and is available now both online and at the club shop — where some dedicated supporters queued from 4 AM for the 8 AM opening.
A Modern Take on a Classic
The new jersey features a disrupted vertical stripe layout across the front, with black, white, and grey lines varying in width. The distinctive pattern continues onto the sleeves and lower back, while the central back panel remains predominantly white for clear player names and numbers. Light blue detailing around the crew neck collar, sleeve cuffs, and side areas adds a fresh accent, with matching blue panels across the shoulders.
A small magpie emblem on the back of the neck pays tribute to the club’s heritage. The Adidas logo appears on the right chest in black and white, with the Newcastle United crest positioned on the left and a yellow Noon sleeve sponsor on the left sleeve.
Premium Build and Technology
The authentic version features jacquard construction with a slim fit and heat-applied federation badge, using Adidas Climacool+ technology to keep players cool and dry. The replica version uses interlock fabric with standard Climacool technology at a more accessible price point.
The full kit pairs the shirt with black shorts featuring blue trim and white Adidas branding, along with black socks with blue band detailing and white magpie graphics.
More Than Just the Home Kit
Alongside the home strip, Newcastle also released two goalkeeper shirts — a retro-inspired yellow design and an orange alternative — both priced at £85. A pre-match shirt featuring a denim-like navy patchwork design is available for £60 (£90 long-sleeved warm-up version).
Notably, the 2026-27 kits launch without a front-of-shirt sponsor for the first time in the modern era, following the expiry of Sela’s £75 million three-year partnership. The club is expected to announce a new sponsor before the season kicks off.
