ESD Anti Static T Shirts Philippines
Custom static dissipative t shirts with a carbon grid knit for electronics assembly, printed circuit board, and semiconductor lines. Built for ANSI/ESD S20.20 programmes and worn on the production floor in sizes XS to 4XL.
An ESD t shirt is built for the static dissipative band, not the conductive one, so charge drains in a controlled way instead of discharging into the board.
What makes a t shirt static dissipative
A plain cotton tee is an insulator, so static charge builds on it and then jumps to the first conductor it touches. An ESD t shirt is knit so that charge has a path to drain instead, without ever becoming a fast discharge.
-
A carbon grid is knit into the yarn
Carbon filament is knit into the fabric on a 5 mm pitch, running through the body and the sleeves. The grid gives static charge a continuous path across the garment instead of letting it pool on the surface.
-
The body stays in the dissipative window
The grid holds surface resistance inside the 106 to 109 Ω range. Too insulative and the charge cannot drain at all. Too conductive and the fabric risks a fast discharge next to a live component.
-
No loose metal and no loose fibre
Snaps are non conductive, the knit is low shed, and there is no exposed metal on the body. The garment does not scratch a board or drop particles onto product under the bench.
Reading the surface resistance bands
Surface resistance is measured in ohms between two points on the fabric. The reading places a garment in one of three bands, and only one of them belongs on an electronics line.
Conductive
Below 105 ΩCharge leaves almost instantly. Useful for tote boxes, bags, and floor mats, but too fast for a garment worn next to a powered component, where a rapid discharge can damage the part.
Static dissipative
105 to 1011 ΩCharge drains at a controlled rate. This is the band an ESD t shirt is built for, and our t shirts sit in the 106 to 109 Ω window that most electronics programmes adopt.
Insulative
Above 1011 ΩCharge is trapped. A plain cotton or untreated polyester tee sits here, which is why an ordinary shirt is not a substitute on an ESD protected area.
| Band | Typical range | What it means on the floor | Where it belongs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Conductive | Below 105 Ω | Very fast charge movement | Containers, mats, and grounding hardware |
| Static dissipative | 105 to 1011 Ω | Controlled drain over time | Garments worn in an ESD protected area |
| Insulative | Above 1011 Ω | Charge is held on the fabric | Nowhere inside a protected area |
Cuts and builds
The same grid knit is available across the standard tee builds, so a crew neck for the line and a collared option for a supervisor can both carry the same resistance target.
The standard line tee. Conductive neck tape, taped shoulder seams.
For cool rooms and night shift. Conductive rib cuff available for a wrist ground strap.
Same grid knit in a V neckline, for sites that standardise on it.
A diagonal seam from neck to underarm, an easier fit across the shoulder.
A knit collar with a two button placket for supervisors and line leads.
Specification ledger
What we knit and finish as standard, and what stays open so the garment matches the target in your own control plan.
Polyester knit blended with carbon filament so the grid is part of the yarn, not a coating that washes off.
5 mm pitch across the body and sleeves, so charge has a continuous path in every direction.
106 to 109 Ω as standard, and adjustable to the figure your programme documents require.
Under 0.1 s typical from 1000 V to 100 V, the drain speed most programmes look for in a garment.
Conductive neck tape inside the collar seam, and an optional conductive rib cuff on long sleeve builds for a wrist ground strap.
Non conductive snaps only. No exposed metal on the body, so nothing scrapes a board or a probe.
Screen print, DTF, embroidery, or sublimation, placed so the print never cuts the carbon grid path.
XS to 4XL across men and women cuts, with sizes mixable to reach the minimum order.
Made for ANSI/ESD S20.20 and IEC 61340-5-1 programmes, with low shed knit options for ISO 14644-1 clean zones.
Where ESD t shirts are worn
A dissipative garment matters most where a person moves around a live product. These are the work areas we supply across Philippine industrial zones, including the PEZA clusters in Laguna, Cavite, Clark, and Cebu.
Commercial terms
The carbon grid knit is a specialty fabric, so we quote each order against your fabric, grid, branding, and resistance target rather than publishing a single list price.
Minimum order
12 pieces per style. Mix sizes from XS to 4XL to reach the 12 piece minimum for a departmental pilot.
Quoting
Quoted per order, itemised, against the fabric and grid you need. Send your target resistance and branding and we return a written quote.
Invoicing
BIR 2307 official invoicing and compliant documentation, ready for PEZA and BIR procurement files.
Why there is no list price. An ESD garment is a controlled item. The resistance target is set by your own ANSI/ESD S20.20 control plan, and the fabric, grid density, and finishing all follow from that figure. We quote and produce against your programme documents, not against a catalogue guess.
Static control and safety ecosystem
An ESD t shirt is one layer of a static control programme. These are the surfaces that cover the rest of it.
ESD t shirt questions
What is an ESD t shirt?
An ESD t shirt is a knit tee with carbon filament worked into the yarn on a grid, so static charge drains through the fabric instead of building on it. It sits in the static dissipative band, between a conductive material and an ordinary insulative cotton tee, which is why it can be worn next to live electronics without a fast discharge.
What surface resistance do your ESD t shirts hold?
106 to 109 Ω as standard, with a typical static decay under 0.1 s from 1000 V to 100 V. The carbon grid runs on a 5 mm pitch across the body and sleeves.
Can you match the resistance target in our own control plan?
Yes. Send the figure from your ANSI/ESD S20.20 control plan and we knit and finish to it. The target is a property of your programme, so we quote against your documents rather than assuming a default.
Can you print or embroider a logo without breaking the grid?
Yes. Screen print, DTF, embroidery, and sublimation are all placed so the decoration does not cut the carbon grid path. We confirm the placement against the grid layout before production so the resistance target survives the branding.
What is the minimum order for custom ESD t shirts?
12 pieces per style. Sizes from XS to 4XL can be combined to reach the 12 piece minimum, so a single department can run a pilot before a plant wide order.
How do you wash and maintain an ESD t shirt?
Machine wash warm with a mild detergent and tumble dry low. Do not use fabric softener or bleach, and do not iron the print. Because the grid is knit into the yarn rather than coated on, the dissipation survives normal industrial laundering, but the resistance is normally rechecked on a wash test cycle at a set interval in your programme.
