Where recycled polar fleece comes from, stage by stage
Recycled content is only as strong as the chain behind it. Before we quote, we map the fibre route and say which stages are certified and which document covers each step.
Recycled polyester begins as collected PET, usually post consumer bottles and clean industrial offcuts. It is sorted, cleaned, and returned to chip or flake, then spun into filament yarn. The spinner is where the recycled content is certified, and its certificate is the first document your certifier will ask for.
From the yarn onward the process matches any polar fleece programme. We knit to your weight band, brush and finish, then cut and sew on our own lines in Tagum City and Cagayan de Oro. Fibre source
Collected PET bottles and clean offcuts are sorted and cleaned into reusable flake. We confirm the feedstock with the spinner before quoting.

Recycled fleece is not a single fabric. We offer a small ladder of content levels, each built to order rather than pulled from stock. Tell us the claim you need and we will say which rung supports it.
50 percent recycled polyester
The fleece body is half recycled and half virgin polyester. It is the easiest rung to document and the closest to our standard fleece in hand feel, so it suits a first recycled programme.
100 percent recycled polyester fleece
The whole fleece body is recycled polyester. It is the fullest recycled option we run, and the rung most sustainability leads pick when the jacket carries a public claim.
Recycled and virgin blend for heavy use
For hard wear, we agree a blend that carries a share of virgin polyester for strength and pilling control. You still hold the recycled documents.

Issued for the specific quantity of certified yarn in your order. It links certified material to the batch we cut.
Order declaration
Our statement of what went into your programme: the style, the weight band, the recycled content agreed in the tech pack, and the quantity.
Lab or test report
Third party fabric results for the lot we cut, covering composition, weight, shrinkage, colourfastness, and pilling.

Built and labelled as your own product
A recycled programme is also an OEM programme. Everything the customer sees carries your brand, and everything the buyer needs carries your paperwork.

What percentage of a recycled polar fleece jacket can be recycled polyester?
We build to your target. The options we run most often are 50 percent recycled polyester, 100 percent recycled polyester fleece, and a recycled and virgin blend that adds strength, each confirmed against the yarn documents.
How is the recycled content proven?
The proof sits in the yarn chain. The spinner holds a certification for the recycled material, and a transaction certificate links the certified yarn to the quantity used in each order.
Do the certificates come with every order?
Yes. Documents are supplied per order, not as a one off sample pack. A recycled programme ships with the yarn certificate reference, the transaction certificate, our order declaration, and the fabric test report.
How does recycled fleece feel compared with virgin fleece?
Close enough that most buyers cannot feel the difference in a finished jacket, but not identical. Well spun recycled filament can feel a little drier before washing, so we send a swatch.
Is recycled polar fleece as durable and warm as virgin fleece?
Warmth at the same GSM is equivalent, because warmth comes from trapped air in the pile, not the fibre origin. Durability is close with an anti pill finish.

What is the minimum order for a recycled polar fleece jacket OEM programme?
The minimum is 20 pieces per style and colourway, the same as our standard fleece line. A recycled programme also needs a signed off tech pack and a document check.
Is there a cost premium for recycled content?
Yes, and it is honest to say so. Certified recycled yarn and the certificate chain cost more than virgin yarn, and the premium is highest on small runs.
How should the finished jacket be washed and cared for?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, turn the garment inside out, close the zips, and avoid fabric softener because it coats the pile. Tumble dry low or line dry.
Can the finished jacket carry a recycled claim on the label and hangtag?
Only where the documents support it. If the yarn chain and the transaction certificate cover the recycled content you want to state, we can print the claim on your care label and hangtag.
