OEM Oversized Half-Zip Sweatshirt Factory

RB Advertising manufactures oversized half-zip sweatshirts and cut and sew pullovers for apparel brands. The silhouette is drafted boxy with a dropped shoulder, then sewn on our own lines in Tagum City and Cagayan de Oro. Your label goes in the neck, your hangtag goes on the loop, and the finished sweatshirt ships under your brand.

What Makes the Oversized Half-Zip Read as Boxy

Three construction decisions carry the whole look. Change any one of them and the sweatshirt stops reading as oversized, which is why all three are set at pattern stage.

Drop shoulder

The shoulder seam sits away from the shoulder point, which softens the line and gives the sleeve a relaxed fall.

DraftedSet at pattern

Boxy body

Chest and hem are drafted near parallel rather than tapered, so the body stays square through the waist.

Parallel side seamSquare body

Rib cuff and hem

Rib is matched to the body fabric weight. Too light and the hem rolls, too heavy and it pulls the body square.

Production

Six Stages on One Cut and Sew Line

The pullover stays on our own line from pattern to packing, so the sample you approve is the bulk you receive.

  1. Pattern and block

The oversized block is drafted to your drop and body width, then graded.

  2. Fabric selection

Body fabric is selected from the weight ladder and approved as a physical sample.

  3. Cutting

Panels are cut in house from the approved marker.

  4. Sewing

Shoulder, sleeve, side seam, cuff and hem are assembled on the line.

  5. Trim and zip

The YKK metal half-zip is set with an auto-lock slider, and the stand collar is finished.

  6. Finishing and packing

Anti-pill finish where specified, then labels, hangtags, folding and polybags to your artwork.

Fabric

Fabric Weight Ladder from 200 to 400 GSM

Weight decides how the drop falls. Heavier fabric holds a squarer body, lighter fabric drapes closer to the arm.

200 GSM

Lighter fleece for mild climates and layering over a tee.

250 GSM

Mid weight fleece, the common default for a half-zip pullover.

280 GSM

Firmer hand for a squarer body and a cleaner dropped shoulder line.

300 GSM

Heaviest fleece option, with anti-pill finish and optional sherpa backing.

360 GSM

Loopback French terry, for brands moving the pullover toward a heavier streetwear feel.

400 GSM

Combed cotton French terry, the heaviest body we hold on the line.

Questions

Oversized Half-Zip Sweatshirt Questions

What is the minimum order for an oversized half-zip sweatshirt?

Bulk production starts at 20 pieces per design. Where the silhouette is already on the line, the floor drops to 5 to 10 pieces.

How is the oversized fit set?

The block is drafted oversized at pattern stage, with a dropped shoulder seam and a boxy body. The fit does not come from grading a regular pattern up to a larger size.

Which fabric weights are available?

The ladder runs from 200 GSM to 400 GSM, taking in 250, 280 and 300 GSM fleece and 360 and 400 GSM French terry.

What zip do you fit?

A YKK metal half-zip with an auto-lock slider is standard. The pull can be branded and sized for grip, and SBS zippers are available where a programme calls for them.

Can the sweatshirt carry my own brand?

Yes. Your neck label and care label are sewn in, and hangtags, polybags and carton marks are supplied to your artwork.

Do you make the whole garment in house?

Yes. Pattern, cutting, sewing, trim, finishing and packing run on our own cut and sew lines in Tagum City and Cagayan de Oro.

How long does bulk production take?

Bulk production normally takes 7 to 12 days after sample, artwork and payment approval. Shipping time is additional.

Can I order a sample before the bulk run?

Yes. A physical sample is approved before the bulk run starts, so the drop, the body width and the fabric weight are confirmed before cutting.

Is the collar a stand collar or a hood?

The half-zip pullover is built with a stand collar that folds cleanly when the zip is up and lies flat when it is open.

Which sizes can you produce?

The graded ladder runs to 4XL, and oversized grading patterns are available where a programme needs to go beyond 4XL.
